FeatureCharacteristics of Padang cuisine

Summary

A general term for dishes from various parts of West Sumatra, Indonesia. It is also called nasipadan. Padang is the name of the largest city in West Sumatra, and pear means rice. Most of the dishes are seasoned with chili pepper, several kinds of spices and coconut milk, and many are simmered for a long time.

Each type is served on a large platter, stacked like a pyramid on a decorative shelf, and then served as many of the items as you like on your own plate. Many people eat padang dishes with their hands, but in our shop, you can use chopsticks.

Rendang

Rendang is a meat dish made by boiling beef and other lumps for a long time in coconut milk and spices. Selected by CNN as the best food in the world in 2017, this is a typical Padang dish.

The meat is tender and easy to eat, and goes very well with white rice, making it an easy dish for first-timers to try. Of course, it is also highly recommended in our shop.

Halal food

The chef, who is also a devout Muslim, serves halal dishes.

Even Muslims can use it with peace of mind.
