This is Indonesian or Malaysian fried rice

Nasi goreng is often found in Southeast Asian and ethnic restaurants, but to be precise, it’s an Indonesian or Malaysian dish.

In Indonesian and Malaysian, nasi means “rice” and goreng means “stir-fry.”

It is almost the same as Chinese fried rice or fried rice found in various dishes, but it is often cooked with indica rice rather than the sticky japonica rice.

Our restaurant uses the orthodox seasoning.

At our restaurant, we try to recreate the Indonesian flavor with a base of “Racik,” a Nasi goreng seasoning, and ketchup manis, which resembles a strongly acidic Worcestershire sauce. Garnishes are served in an orthodox style, with raw cucumbers or tomatoes and kulpuk (fried shrimp crackers) with fried eggs.

It’s mild in spiciness and unique taste, and is recommended for a wide range of people, from children to the elderly.

Enjoy the unique aroma of shrimp and the addictive taste of Indonesia.

We will continue to introduce Indonesian cuisine on an irregular basis.
See you in the next article.
