Indonesian skewers, sate
Sate is the Japanese equivalent of kushiyaki, and its name changes depending on the ingredients and style used.
A typical sate is often a combination of soy and peanut sauce, but this satay padan is eaten with a curry-flavored sauce.
The ingredients used and the taste of the curry-style sauce vary from restaurant to restaurant, but our restaurant offers beef and chicken skewers with a slightly sweeter curry sauce.
Chimaki rice like a dumpling is also available.
On the menu, we refer to it as “glutinous rice,” but we also offer chimaki rice.
Although it’s called Chimaki, it doesn’t have the texture and flavor of Chinese Chimaki, nor is it like Japanese rice cake, but rather has the impression of Odango or Uiromochi.
Use this well and try the curry sauce left on the plate.
You can experience a new curry.
We will continue to introduce Indonesian cuisine on an irregular basis.
See you in the next article.
